Pricing

Although my Editorial Pricing varies given the immense amount of variables included, I do fully list all of my wedding prices on my site. I am always shocked at how many photographers leave the pricing page unanswered for weddings or expect you to call or email before providing you with the price sheet. You can sometimes spend so much time viewing portfolios, just to find that when you look for pricing you’re expected to “call for prices” or “customize.” This may lead to the feeling that a photographer will ask for as much as they feel they can get from you. I want you to know what you will get and how much it will cost so that you know immediately whether I belong in your wedding budget. Yes, I do custom-price exceptionally elaborate weddings, but in general shouldn’t everyone be charged the same? Well, there is my two cents!

I give a 10% discount on wedding packages to civil servants and those in the military. If you are a firefighter, a police officer, a social worker, or a paramedic, or if you are part of the navy, marines, army, or air force, please let me know immediately upon booking. Thank you for everything that you do. I have many members of my family who have served.

Things

The following are important things you should be aware of before booking a photography package.

  • You are responsible for arranging a location for any photography sessions. This includes finding a location, reserving it (if it isn’t public), and paying any fees related to admission. There are many free or cheap locations available around the DFW area, including: Highland Park, Dowtown Mckinney, Downtown Dallas, Art District, Deep Elm, Lee Park/Arlington Hall.

For brides with a bigger budget, there are places you may rent to give your photos an extra something. McKinney Cotton Mill is my absolute favorite; it provides beautiful spaces for images and is $150 for two hours. NYLO is amazing for brides who want a more modern, hip look to their photos. I recommend the NYLO for Boudoir shoots as well. If you’re looking for a more timeless elegance, some of the historical hotels downtown are great as well. The Las Colinas Canals are beautiful (and more budget-friendly) with a permit fee of only $75. Lastly, the Dallas Arboretum is a perfect location for natural shots, and costs only $10 for admission.

Boudoir sessions can be shot anywhere private, such as a hotel room at one of the locations suggested above, which make beautiful backdrops, or even in your own home. I bring my own lights to create the perfect pictures.

  • Editing photographs takes time. Editing takes 6-9 weeks for weddings. Regular portraits take 2-3 weeks maximum. You can view the pictures as I edit them in the online viewing gallery in the client area of my site. Good editing takes time, but you will notice the difference in the eventual finished product.
  • Your prints will not look the same as those on the site if you have them developed at a pharmacy. You and your family may order specialized lab-quality prints in any size of any photo, as well as other special products, directly through me. I highly recommend ordering your prints through me because where you print your photos makes an enormous difference in the quality and look of the print. Your local pharmacy or grocery store’s lab is not high-quality, and it will destroy your color-balance, contrast, and exposure levels. I keep print prices down because I want you to love your finished product: I do not use print prices to inflate my profits at your expense.
  • Payment will be due before the wedding or session. 1/2 of payment is due upon booking in order to reserve your date; the other 1/2 is due two weeks prior to your session or wedding date. I take cash, credit-card through Paypal Online, money orders, or cashier’s checks. Unfortunately, I can no longer accept personal checks due to their growing use in common scams.
  • I give permission to print on all photographs, but I ask to keep the copyright on all photos in order to use them as examples to update my portfolio. I will not use Boudoir pictures in my portfolio unless given permission.
